Pet Policies, Regulations, Fines & Penalties
The Stepping Stone Condominium Association (SSCA ) Board of Directors implemented a pet registration procedure beginning 1 February 2012. Article VIII, Section 8.10 of SSCA Bylaws provides that "No animals shall be raised, bred or kept in any Unit, except those expressly authorized by the Board of Directors, and provided that they shall be kept in strict accordance with the administrative rules and regulations relating to household pets from time to time adopted or approved by the Board of directors, and further provided that they shall not in the judgment of the Board constitute a nuisance to others."
Homeowners are responsible for obtaining prior approval from the Board of Directors for pets to be allowed to reside in a unit or be kept on SSCA property. To obtain approval from the Board of Directors and register your pet(s) go to our Pet Registration Form, complete and submit the form, then download the Pet Registration Document, complete the document and submit it to the SSCA Office. Both the Registration Form and the Registration Document must be completed in full and submitted before the request for approval can be considered by the Board of Directors. Forms and Documents are also available in the SSCA Office.
Fines:
Pet feces must be properly disposed of and not left on sidewalks, in the flower beds, or under bushes.
